Outside of the workshop and competition happening throughout the week, we offer a variety of special events for dancers, teachers and parents!
TDA PROM!
What’s more exciting than going to Prom at The Dance Awards?! Grab a date or a friend, get all dressed up and come dance the night away! The TDA artists will host Prom as well as judge the Prom King and Queen competition. All Teen and Senior dancers (ages 13+ as of January 1st, 2025) are invited.
MINI & JUNIOR DANCE PARTY
TDA will be hosting a dance party for the Minis and Juniors! It will be a fun and festive night of dance and games! In the past we’ve hosted an Electric Glow Party along with a Disco Dance Party! What will this year’s theme be?!
PARENT CLASSES
Here we go parents, now it’s time for you to show us where your kids get it from!! No observer band required! We know it’s a long week so we want to give something back to YOU! On the last two days of the event join the artists for parent Hip-Hop, Latin ballroom (no partner required), Yoga, Stretch & Core Strengthening and finish off with mimosas and grooves!
TEACHER & STUDIO OWNER COCKTAIL PARTY
Join Directors Mike, Michael, Kristen, Ronnie, Tony and the rest of the artists at the Teacher and Studio Owner Cocktail Party! We’ll have an open bar, hors d'oeuvres and a live band. This will be held at the beginning of the week so it’s a great way to meet and mingle!
STUDIO OF THE YEAR WINE TASTING & DINNER
We know it takes a lot of work to compete for Studio Of The Year, so we’d like to thank all studios vying for Studio of The Year Award with a special night. Join Directors Mike, Michael, Kristen, Ronnie, Tony and the rest of the artists for a wine tasting and sit-down dinner. All past Studio Of The Year Winners are also invited!
THE AFTER PARTY
On the final night, after the Awards Show, all teachers and studio owners are invited to The After Party! Open bar, hors d’oeuvres, live DJ and more!
TEACHER OASIS
Teachers – do you ever feel like you can never find a quiet place to sit for a few minutes during Nationals? Problem solved! In both Las Vegas and Orlando there will be a special room just for Teachers and Studio Owners. We’ll have coffee, tea, soda, fruit, granola bars and snacks all day long for you! Enjoy a drink or use this as a space that you can sit and have a few moments to yourself! As an added bonus we will be offering 20-minute chair massages in this room mid-week!
THE COLLEGE AUDITION EXPERIENCE
The Dance Awards is proud to offer an initiative for attendees pursing higher education in dance – The College Audition Experience! We’ve gathered a distinguished and diverse array of college and university dance programs to participate in this event. The College Audition Experience is exclusively for Senior workshop dancers. Dancers must be 16+ (as of January 1st, 2025) and registered for the Senior workshop level. More information to come!
